I love to travel! Whether it’s a weekend getaway or weeks abroad, exploring new places fuels my soul. With countless travel apps out there, I keep coming back to these four for research and booking. While I usually book flights directly with airlines, these apps make the rest of the process a breeze.
Trip Advisor
When planning a trip, I check TripAdvisor for reviews and insights from other travelers. Over time, I’ve realized reviews often reflect personal expectations more than reality, so I take them with a grain of salt. While some people leave harsh critiques, I’ve mostly had great experiences—just not ones I always remember to review!
KAYAK
Once I’ve picked a destination, I turn to KAYAK to compare flights, hotels, and rental cars. It searches hundreds of travel sites in seconds, making it easy to find the best deals. I like to cross-check flights and packages before making a final booking.
Hotels.com
This has been my go-to for hotel bookings for years. I’ve booked over 50 stays and usually find their prices and reviews to be pretty accurate. I always compare rates with hotel websites, but more often than not, Hotels.com has the best deals.
YELP
For food and local spots, Yelp is my favorite. It helps me find great restaurants and browse menus (though some can be outdated). As with any review-based app, I take opinions lightly and do my own research before deciding where to go.
